THE LESSON -A SHORT FILM
Overwhelmed by the terror and violence that have become the ‘new normal’ across America, Keller, an assault survivor, seeks solace in buying a gun for self-defense. But during her very first shooting lesson with Ty, an ex-cop battling his own demons, Keller begins to wonder if a gun will be enough to give her the comfort and connection she needs to survive in a changing world.

MOLLY LELAND - "KELLER"
Molly is an actress of film, TV, and theater. Her TV work includes, Ozark, Law and Order: SVU, Grey's Anatomy, FBI: Most Wanted, The Missing, The Player, and Legends. Her film credits include the Sundance short, Raspberry, the Award Winning independent short film, The Dinner Guest, and the indie feature Shades of Julia. Her theater credits include, Awake and Sing!, by Clifford Odets (A Noise Within Theater Company), Dancing at Lughnasa, by Brian Friel, and the title role in Candida, by George Bernard Shaw (Chrysalis Theater Company). Molly just finished a run of the world premiere adaptation of The Employees, by Olga Ravyn. In addition to acting, Molly is a screenwriter who has won festival awards for her short film Signal Problems and Bruise Hunters.
TRAVIS MITCHELL -"GUN SHOP OWNER"
Travis lives with his wife and their cat in quiet New York City. He is currently playing the role of Charles in the NCL production of “Beetlejuice the Musical”. His notable Film / TV credits include: “Law & Order: SVU” (co-star), Award Winning films: “Hell Is Empty”, "The Spinning Man", “Hope”, among others.

ALIMI BALLARD - "TY"
Alimi ("Ali - Me") is a New York City native. His tenure in Hollywood began as a series regular on the ABC sitcom Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, where he portrayed The Quizmaster, and since his début he has continued to dazzle audiences in a wide-range of dramatic roles: as the enigmatic and debonair Marcel Dumas on Netflix’s hit Queen of The South, as Dr. Robert Dubois on the acclaimed original drama series Queen Sugar, as Reginald Lennox III on ABC’s The Catch, in his three-season run as Detective Kevin Crawford on CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and as a six-season regular on NUMB3RS as Special Agent David Sinclair. Other series regular roles include Herbal Thought in James Cameron's cult favorite Dark Angel, Matthew on ABC’s sitcom Arsenio, and his recurring role as Agent Gayne Levin on CBS's NCIS. Ballard has graced the big screen with such talent as Cuba Gooding Jr. in Men of Honor, and Morgan Freeman in DreamWorks' Deep Impact. Alimi has recently joined the cast of the Peacock ‘s new drama One of us is Lying as the impassioned Kevin Clay. But of all the roles Alimi portrays, his most rewarding are as husband and father. He resides happily in Los Angeles with his wife and two wonderful children.
BOB RUTAN - "SUBWAY PANHANDLER"
Bob Rutan is a NYC actor. He has been in several festival award winning short films, including "Hope", "Enloquecer", "Nkemefuna", "Beached" and "Ten Dollars". His NYC stage work includes playing Frankenstein's Creature, Alonso in "The Tempest" and Peter Quince in "Midsummer Night's Dream". Since 1994 he has performed old-time radio reenactments with the W.W.O.W. Radio Mystery Hour, playing The Shadow, Philip Marlowe and Sherlock Holmes in dozens of recreations of radio shows from The Golden Age of Radio. He is represented by Ingrid French Management.

Minh and his family live in NYC. He has experience in mixed Martial Arts, is an avid pickle baller and is passionate about helping others realize their fitness potential. He embraces challenges, adventure and does not go gentle into that good night.
Diego Andrés is a New York City native born and raised in Queens. He wrote for and performed in A Sketch of New York which premiered at the Producers Club in Manhattan, and most recently he starred as RP McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at Studio Theater of Long Island. He spends most of his free time on the baseball field with his two children.
